How to Reach Pawna Lake

• From Mumbai — about 110 km, 2.5 hours. Take the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, exit at Lonavala, then drive via Kusgaon and Braman Oli toward the lake.
• From Pune — about 55 km, 1.5 hours. Head out on the old Mumbai–Pune highway via Kamshet, then turn off toward Pawna Dam.
• By train — the nearest stations are Lonavala and Kamshet on the Mumbai–Pune line; both are a 25–40 minute cab ride from the lakeside villas.
• Road condition — the final stretch is a narrow village road. Sedans manage it comfortably in dry weather; in heavy monsoon, an SUV is more comfortable.

Things to Do around Pawna Lake

• Tikona Fort — a compact, steep hill fort with a roughly one-hour climb and a clear view over the lake. Best attempted early morning.
• Lohagad and Visapur Forts — the two best-known treks in the Maval region, both within a 30–40 minute drive.
• Kayaking and boating — available seasonally at several points along the shoreline, subject to water level and local operator availability.
• Kamshet paragliding — India's best-known paragliding base, about 25 minutes from the lake, running roughly October to May.
• Bhushi Dam and Lonavala market — for a half-day trip out of the villa, about 40 minutes away.

Pawna Lake Villa Pricing and Group Sizes

Villa pricing near Pawna moves with the day of the week. Monday-to-Thursday nights run meaningfully below Friday-to-Sunday rates, and long weekends and the December–January window are the most in demand — those dates go four to six weeks in advance.

Mantra 147, our villa near Pawna Lake, is priced per person with all meals included, billed to a minimum group size:

• Monday to Thursday — ₹6,000 per person, billed for a minimum of 10 guests. That is ₹60,000 per night for the whole villa.
• Friday to Sunday — ₹8,000 per person, billed for a minimum of 12 guests. That is ₹96,000 per night, with a 2-night minimum on weekends.
• Groups smaller than the minimum can still book — you simply pay the minimum rate above.
• Occupancy runs to 22 guests; above the minimum, each extra guest is charged at the same per-person rate.
